Senteurs d’Ailleurs is one of Europe’s first High Perfumery and Haute Cosmétique boutiques dedicated to niche fragrances and state-of-the-art cosmetics.

For more than 25 years, our boutiques have been hosting those who appreciate new olfactory experiences, exclusive perfumery lovers and enthusiasts of high-end cosmetic treatments.


Located on Place Stéphanie in Brussels, extending from the Perfumery, our Cosmetics Boutique also boasts a beauty salon. The Senteurs d’Ailleurs Institute is a haven entirely dedicated to high-quality cosmetics and their impact on well-being. Each of our treatments is carried out as a unique routine, with the same degree of excellence and professionalism.

In order to expand and strengthen our team, we are constantly looking for new talents to come and share their expertise, be it in our Perfumery and Cosmetic Boutiques or as part of our administrative team (HR, Communications and Marketing).

Job description

As a sales consultant, you will work closely with the store manager and the team already in place and your functions will be to:

  • Greet clients following the rules established at the boutique and within the team
  • Assist and advise, ask in-depth questions in order to determine the client’s expectations and guide them in their choices
  • Become an expert in the field of niche and designer fragrances thanks to continuous, in-house training
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Assist with opening and closing the boutique
  • Ensure stocks in the boutique are replenished (unpacking, inspecting, registering, and putting away deliveries)
  • Arrange products on the shelves
  • Follow up on customer requests by telephone or e-mail

Necessary experience and qualities

You enjoy selling, advising customers and being part of a team.

You are fascinated by the world of perfume.

You have at least five years’ experience in sales or luxury goods.

  • You are fluent in French and have a good level of spoken English and Dutch, an additional language would be a plus.
  • Dynamic, flexible, and adaptable
  • Excellent contact with clients and a strong sense of service
  • Autonomous, rigorous, and precise, keen to do a good job
  • High standards of cleanliness, tidiness, and hospitality
  • You present yourself well and abide by the dress code (black, white, and plain clothes).

  • Fixed, permanent, full-time contract (38 hours/week) (5 days/week – including Saturdays – working hours 10 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.)

  • You are fluent in French and have a good level of spoken English and an Eastern European language, an additional language would be a plus.

  • Excellent contact with clients and a strong sense of service
  • Autonomous, rigorous, and precise, keen to do a good job
  • High standards of cleanliness, tidiness, and hospitality
  • You present yourself well and abide by the dress code (black, white, and plain clothes).
